Dr. Davis currently serves as an elementary science laboratory teacher at a local school in Beaufort County. Her teaching career began in Gainesville, Florida, where she served as an Assistant Principal of Curriculum, and a teacher of grades 1 - 4. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Claflin University. She received a Master of Education (with a specialization in curriculum and instruction) from the University of Florida. Dr. Davis graduated from South Carolina State University with an Educational Specialist degree and a Doctor of Education in educational administration.
In addition to serving on several district level curriculum committees, she has developed school wide benchmark assessments, co-authored many district level reports and has presented at a number of professional conferences throughout Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. In June 2020, Dr. Davis published a children's book called The Math House teaching the concept of addition with regrouping using the elements of a house. She is also the owner of other educational businesses.
She belongs to professional organizations such as: The American Chemical Society, The National Association of Biology Teachers, The National Science Teaching Association, and The Association of School Curriculum and Development. She has traveled to such places as: Ghana, Africa, Europe, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas.
